Knowledge as Power uses your personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your email address and zip code, to provide you the products or services that you request. We may also send you promotional information, like special event invitations, unless you have opted out of these types of communications from Knowledge as Power, and use your personally identifying information to enhance the operation of our website and administer our systems. The information is also used to verify your authority to access the website and to contact you when reasonably necessary. Knowledge as Power may also use any information you have entered into the website as reasonably necessary to administer or provide customer support for the website, including to send you administrative messages related to any services or products requested by you.

Knowledge as Power uses certain third party vendors (e.g., data storage and processing facilities) to assist us in providing our services. Any information you include in the email and your actual email address will be included in the email you send to a legislator. We have no control over the email once it has been sent off of our servers, and please be aware that the privacy policies of legislators may differ from ours. If you choose to send a letter via our website, our privacy policy will NOT apply to any portion of that communication.

We may also disclose your personally identifiable information as we believe is reasonably necessary to comply with law, regulation or other governmental authority, or to prevent harm to yourself or others.

Finally, we may disclose your personally identifiable information with Knowledge as Power chapters and any parent organization.

NO COLLECTION OF INFORMATION FROM CHILDREN

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information relating to children. In the event that we learn that we have collected personally identifiable information from anyone under 13 years of age without prior parental consent, we will take steps to promptly delete such information.
